Configure your wireless access points and controllers to work with IronWifi. Select your vendor below for step-by-step instructions.
Before You Begin
Prerequisites
- IronWifi Account - Open account
- Network Created - Set up at least one network in the Console
- Captive Portal (optional) - Create if using guest WiFi splash pages
- Admin Access - To your wireless controller or access points
Gather Your Settings
From IronWifi Console, note these values:
Network Settings:
- Primary RADIUS IP
- Backup RADIUS IP
- Authentication Port (usually 1812)
- Accounting Port (usually 1813)
- Shared Secret
Captive Portal Settings:
- Splash Page URL
- Walled Garden entries

General Configuration Steps
WPA-Enterprise (802.1X)
- Create a Network in IronWifi Console
- Note RADIUS server details
- Configure SSID with WPA-Enterprise security
- Enter RADIUS server IP, port, and secret
- Create users or connect identity provider
- Test authentication
Captive Portal (Guest WiFi)
- Create a Network in IronWifi Console
- Create a Captive Portal, select your vendor
- Configure vendor-specific settings
- On your controller:
- Create open SSID with guest policy
- Set external captive portal URL
- Configure walled garden
- Enable authentication providers
- Test splash page
